Conditions: The sun is out and the ice is melting quickly. There is a little bit of open water around the shores but not enough to cast. With the warmer temperatures I would guess the beginning of May we will have great ice off fishing.
Fishing Report:
Species: Kokanee
Fishing is: Slow
What to use: For kokanee use the same setup you would in the open water. For example, a flashing dodger with an 8″-12″ leader line pink squid, tipped with a Berkley maggot.
Additional Comments: Kokanee tends to be in deep water so middle of the lake is best however it is not safe to be out on the ice right now so we will need to wait until the ice has melted.

Fishing is: Very Good
Location: Strawberry and Soldier Creek
What to use: Black colored tube Jig tipped with a worm.
Additional Comments: The ladders is the only place with open water at the moment.
